I couldn't agree with Jimmy more.  I thought it odd that people were complaining about altitude.  Altitude doesn't even come into effect until 6000- 7000 ft.  If anything, bike splits could be faster.  I think the altitude spoken of in Boulder is comparable to wind, rain, whatever, in terms of elements. It's impossible to find a course that would suit everyone. That is why we train.  That is why we do specific training. If you know the course, you should be able to get ready for it.
