That's a tough choice. The first two are the same
days as men's and women's pro Ironman nationals
(assuming the same setup as last year) and the third
is at altitude.

Athletes are going to have to make a choice between
being the US national champion at Ironman distance or
going to USAT nationals and attempting to qualify for
Worlds.

Seeing as the publicity/recognition for 2005 Nationals
AND some good American results at 2005 USAT Long
Course worlds was pretty much nonexistent, why would
that make the best people want to go to nationals and
then go on to represent the US at Worlds?

I would probably choose to race at altitude to avoid
scheduling conflicts.
