Re: [e-litebeat] Revised Elite Membership Resolution

Hi Again All, Alison and Board & AAC Reps,

Nice work!  Not sure how this all came together, but the collective brainpower has made a criteria that seems more reasonable than the old one.  There will probably be some tweaks, but it makes a ton of sense to eliminate the minimum # of participants overall.  The options give people flexibility too.  Way to go!!!

One question:  if this is approved at the board meeting and there are other races that seem like a good fit for 2008, do we need to have it approved by the board before Jan 1, 2008?  I would suggest LA Tri.

With this in mind, how do people feel about pro requal?  Do we need to re-address this too?

Resolution for Board Action

Now therefore be it resolved that, USAT elite triathlon qualification

Group World Championships.

3. Finish top-5 overall and within 8% of the winner's time at USAT Age
Group National Championships.

4. Finish top-5 overall and within 8% of the winner's time at USAT
Collegiate National Championships.

5. Finish top-3 overall in the amateur field at an Elite Qualifying
Race. The list of Elite Qualifying Races is determined by the AAC each
year and published on USAT's website.
